The
Neighborhood Family Resource Center was formed in 1996. Its mission is
to provide community outreach in order to improve surrounding areas and
to strengthen and unite neighbors in the spirit of unity and cooperation.
The
Center's primary goal is to strengthen local communities by providing
educational opportunities for area youth and residents and by partnering
with local communities and government.
In
pursuit of these goals, the Center has collaborated with the following
communities: Wingate, Ponderosa, Pinecrest and Plato.
There
are many social and economic issues facing these communities, and the
Neighborhood Family Resource Center addresses these issues in several
ways.
